Nomination and Awards Process
Partnering organizations (listed below) form the nomination committee. The committee and the public submit nominations for ten categories. After assessing each of the individual’s accomplishments, the nomination committee selects 30 people, 3 for each of the10 categories.
CityFlight then posts the names, photos and summary biographical data for each of the 30 nominees on its website; where the general public has an opportunity to show its support by visiting the site and selecting a nominee in each category.
Public selections were afforded 30% weight in the decision-making process. The nomination committee contributes to final determination of the award recipients. The ultimate decisions are based primarily on the biographical information supplied by the nominees themselves. The identities of the recipients remain secret until announced during the awards gala.
